Sharing baby photos safely online
A few decisions worth making before the first post — ideally together.

Decide together first
Talk with your partner about what you're both comfortable sharing — face or no face, public or friends-only, none at all. Grandparents will have opinions; yours are the ones that count.
Check who can see
Set your accounts to private if you'll post regularly. Review old friend lists. Turn off location tagging.
Keep identifiers apart
Avoid putting full name, exact birth date, hospital name and a clear face in the same post. Never post the hospital bracelet where the numbers are readable.
How our galleries work
Your First Light gallery is private and code-protected. Only people you give the code to can see it. We never use a family's photos in marketing — including this website — without written consent that you can withdraw at any time.
A gentle default
When in doubt, send the photo to the group chat instead of posting it. It reaches the people who matter and nobody else.
