What to pack for the hospital when you want great photos
The whole list fits in one sentence. Your hospital room already has the rest.
Bring
- One soft blanket in a solid, light color — cream, oat, sage, blush.
- One simple outfit or knit hat — a plain onesie and a bonnet photograph better than anything with logos or ruffles.
- A solid, neutral top for you — you'll be in some of the photos, even if it's just your hands.
- A small keepsake if it means something: a grandparent's blanket, a sibling's stuffed animal.
Leave at home
- Props, baskets, headband collections. Your room has a bassinet, a window and white blankets — that's the aesthetic.
- Anything that needs ironing.
- The pressure to look a certain way. You just had a baby. Bare feet and a hospital gown photograph beautifully.
One more thing
